Catherine Restrepo is a photographer based in New Orleans who documents the material culture of urban environments through a social science lens, capturing spaces in their natural state to reveal real-world environments without any intervention. Currently a graduate student in historic preservation at Tulane University, her work examines the intersection of the natural and built environment, human activity, and economic forces—from religious architecture to industrial heritage, from vernacular storefronts to institutional spaces. Restrepo's visual documentation method combines architectural precision with ethnographic sensitivity.
