Based in New Orleans, Catherine Restrepo explores non-staged surroundings of architecture and place through her photographic work. Currently a graduate student in historic preservation at Tulane University, she documents spaces where the past endures in all its complexity. Driven by a deep interest in society’s interactions with the built and natural landscapes, Catherine’s work strips off polish, giving life back its actuality and miscellaneousness.
