My photogrammetry of the Fernand May tomb and Allyson Hinz's drawings of the P. Pennacchia tomb were featured in Dezeen. For a Studio I class in Tulane's Historic Preservation program, we documented tombs at St. Louis Cemetery No. 3 in New Orleans. I chose photogrammetry for the Fernand May tomb to build experience with RealityCapture and streamline the drawing process in AutoCAD, capturing every crack, patch of biological growth, and surface detail with precision. I selected this tomb for its spatial qualities: it was detached from adjacent structures, allowing me to photograph all sides. On-site measurements ensured accuracy. My classmate Allyson Hinz, who has an interior design background, took a traditional approach, creating measured drawings of the P. Pennacchia tomb in the field.
